My Story
The Willow Wreath Company all started with a bit of a dream and my love of all things Christmassy. Hi, my name’s Louise and in the dreaded year of 2020 I was made redundant from a job I loved and I had done since leaving university. I was cabin crew for BA and after a few months of furlough I was officially made redundant in August. So rather than be upset (don't get me wrong I did get upset and still miss it) but I thought what am I good at that can fit around my children and pay the bills. So having always made my own Christmas wreaths I decided why not try and make a business of it and started with Autumnal wreaths mainly foraging in local parks and sold a few. Christmas was crazy, once word got around in my local area, I had to turn down orders as obviously I only had 1 pair of hands and a three-week period to make them all. My once ruby red nails were no longer. I could spot my wreaths all around St Margarets which I was very proud of. I even did a zoom wreath masterclass where I delivered kits. All of which was so out of my comfort zone I hadn't even used a PC properly for a long time so designing a logo, business cards were all very daunting but it truly is amazing what you can do when you focus.
Then Christmas came and went and I decided I needed to grow my business and so it has evolved and taken a new direction into faux flowers. I can't believe I have done all this while home schooling my two girls and to receive the feedback I have from family and friend and strangers is just amazing. So rather than sunning myself in Barbados you will now find me at local markets creating bespoke bouquets but loving it and knowing that my stems will end up in someone's living room or as a gift and that brings me joy.
Louise
